What does eating meat have to do with peace and non-violence?
No offense but this quote makes no sense and just sounds massively pretentious.
It’s about “murdering defenseless animals”
It’s about “failure to understand the difference between sentience and instinct.”
The only animals we should never eat are those that are proven to be sentient.
Rats, octopuses, humans.
I respect people that feel like they need to hunt for their meal and have that as a reason, but that’s about it. Eating meat disgusts me in general.
Even then, this quote is kind of missing the point. I’m not going to ignore someone telling me violence is wrong because they eat hamburgers. Getting people to stop attacking each other is certainly a start.
I don’t mind hunting if it’s for food, that’s one thing, it’s the people that fucking do it for sport and unneeded clothes that bothers me, at least put it to use, fucking eat the meat. omo
